Our Mission Statement We believe that Music is a universal uplifting emotion. Music can bring passion to a soul like breath to a newborn baby. We believe anyone who is moved to make and create music should have the opportunity to do so. The Marilyn Koenen Music for Kids Society is a non profit organization dedicated to providing musical instruments and musical training to children anywhere in the world so that they can fulfill their dreams, passions and lives and become positive builders of a better World. |

Founders Message “You need to do more with your passion for music” This was a question raised to me by my incredible wife , Marilyn of 37 years, many times throughout our marriage. In 1996 I answered this question. I answered it by looking into myself realizing what music has and continues to do for me personally. Music has given me hope and self esteem to deal with the many choices one has to make throughout life. For those readers who don’t play an instrument please let me tell you that when you can make an instrument sing, it makes you feel invincible. Like there is nothing you can’t do…...in a positive way. This is therefore my personal mission. To bring music to children who otherwise might never get the opportunity. I also believe we are all connected on a soul level, so it matters not where the child lives, they deserve the opportunity to learn this gift. And in doing so, become more enlightened to go on and influence this world in positive ways. Marilyn passed on in June of 2009 but I know she is with me on this quest on a much higher level. I thank her dearly and I thank everyone who has helped us out so far to this point. This is not one mans quest. And it is crystal clear that there are many who understand what I am saying because of the offers, often overwhelming , of support we have received. Tony Koenen
